B.Sc. - Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology
PSO 1: Gain knowledge on plant diversity, ecology and different forest ecosystems
PSO 2: Understand the cell structure, anatomy, and physiology of plants
PSO 3: Comprehend on the basics of genetics and molecular biology.
PSO 4: Acquire skills related to biological techniques, mushroom cultivation, and practices followed in agriculture and horticulture.
PSO 5: Analyze the importance of medicinal plants and formulate herbal products.
PSO 6: Aware of the environmental issues, management of natural resources and conservation of plant wealth.

M.Sc. - Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology
PSO1: Students who complete M.Sc. Biotechnology course will gain knowledge on fundamental processes like growth, metabolism, molecular transportation, cell-cell communications, energy conversions and cell death in prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
PSO2: Gather information on biologically important molecules like sugars, amino acids fatty acids, nucleotides and amplify their understanding of the structure, function and networking.
PSO3: Gain familiarity on the biology of infectious diseases, defective metabolic pathways, genetic disorders and advocate appropriate methods for diagnosis and treatment.
PSO4: Acquire skills in laboratory safety and in routine and specialized biotechnological laboratory skills applicable to biotechnology research or clinical methods.
PSO5: Possesses a deeper understanding of applied fields of Industrial Biotechnology, Fermentation technology, Environmental Biotechnology and Food technology
PSO6: Graduates will be able to formulate a research problem, survey literature, design experiments, gather data, employ suitable test statistic, interpret the results and draw objective conclusions independently.
PSO7: Students will effectively and concisely communicate scientific concepts, experimental results and analytical arguments in written, oral, and visual formats.
PSO 8: Will demonstrate the commitment to the discipline of Biotechnology and will uphold ethical principles in their career and contribute to social, health, safety and legal issues and practice his/her responsibilities as a Biotechnologist.

M.Phil. Plant Biology and Biotechnology
PSO 1: Understand the fundamental and advanced technical knowledge of Biotechnology and their limitations in Plant sciences.
PSO 2: Equip with a set of research skills necessary to pursue a research project in Agriculture, Microbial and Environmental biotechnology.
PSO 3: Aware of the best practices in research data management, and understand the science publishing process.

PhD Botany / Plant Biology and Biotechnology
PSO 1: Propagate Plants by Organogenesis and Somatic Embryogenesis.
PSO 2: Develop transgenes and protocol for PEG mediated transformation and protoplast regeneration in millets.
PSO 3: Identify the potential microbes and plants for various ailments.
PSO 4: Identify active metabolite/peptide against Diabetes, Cancer, Tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
PSO 5: Characterize microorganisms with the potential to produce enzymes and metabolites.
PSO 6: Optimize culture condition for maximizing extracellular enzyme production for industrial and environmental applications.
PSO 7: Characterize phytochemicals and test efficacy against microbes and cancer.
PSO 8: Develop methods to conserve plants under Ex- Situ conditions.
PSO 9: Screen and characterize microorganism with anti-biofilm potential.
PSO 10: Characterize phytocompounds for therapeutic applications.
