Semester System

OUR CURRIULAM
As an autonomous college, Loyola has adopted the semester cum choice based credit system. At the undergraduate level the curriculum is for three years. At the postgraduate level the curriculum is for two years.

SEMESTER SYSTEM
Each year is divided into two semesters. The duration of the semester is 15 weeks with six working days per week. From the third week of June to the second week of November are the ODD Semesters and from the third week of November to the end of April are the EVEN Semesters.

SHIFT I & SHIFT II
Loyola College has increased the intake of students by introducing self-financed courses through “shift” systems. The Shift I courses fall under Aided programme and Shift II courses are self-financed courses.

The Shift I students will attend classes during the morning session, which is held between 8.15 a.m. to 1.15 p.m., while the shift II students will attend classes in the afternoon between 1.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
